For her performance as Edith, the crafty maid, O’Connor was the recipient of a Theatre World Award,
the Dorothy Loudon Broadway Debut Fellowship winner and received an Outer Critics Circle Nomination.
Her film, television and web series work includes: "Law & Order: SVU", "Orange is the New Black", "Boardwalk Empire",
"Law & Order: CI", Doomsdays, Coming Up Roses, Flying Scissors, Acts of Worship, The Poets, Front Cover,
The Day My Towers Fell, The Moment, The Question, Parallel Passage, "smile-for-the-camera", "Raymond & Lane" and "Wallflowers". She co-created, co-produced and stars in the web series "Lucy Knows Love" and "Project Beth".
Susan's theater credits also include over twenty world premiere productions, Off Broadway and in theaters
across the country, including the Huntington Theatre, Barrington Stage, Premiere Stages, Urban Stages,
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Collaboration Town and many more.
Susan’s awards include: Outstanding Actress AB*IE for her role in Bodega Bay at Abingdon Theatre,
NYC Fringe Festival's best actor award for the one-woman show Take,
she is a three-time Innovative Award nominee and winner for lead actress in Packawallop's the silent concerto.
Regionally, Susan was nominated for a Kevin Kline award for her work in God of Carnage at St. Louis Rep
and garnered a CEA nomination for her role in A Sleeping Country at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.
She was most recently nominated for an Indie Series Award for Best Supporting Actress in a comedy
for her work in the web series, "Wallflowers".
Susan has studied acting technique with Seth Barrish and Lee Brock at the Barrow Group and with Alan Langdon at
Circle in the Square. She has trained in improvisation and sketch comedy at the Magnet Theater,
Upright Citizens Brigade, ImprovOlympic West and is currently studying stand-up with Lesley Wolff.
